Getting a job done is very important, so before you get started, think about getting a job where you get to talk all the details and put it down on paper and work from there .
It is very important that you do not wake up with a problem when the client wants a quick change in the former plan, coming up with something totally different from what you talked about in the first place, not to mention the bigger problem when you have allready made part of the job .. that sucks !
Next, you need to check out the costs. “What costs ?!” you may say … well some freelance websites require one time join fee, or they ask for money per project bid, or percentage of the money you earn .
Search, Find Projects, Plan, Bid
Next you need to search for projects in your field of work. So you do a search and find the jobs that look promissing to you . A very important step, after reading the project’s info, is checking out the client .
Be very carefull who you work for ! Most design companies will only work with experienced freelancers, you should avoid projects posted by wird looking clients.
And also, you should not stick to only one project.
Now, before you bid, you need to plan the project . Think about the time and costs that the project would generate . Allways give yourself more time for work, and also bid a higher price then what you first choose, so that you can bid again later in case someone bids a lower price .
