How do people make money online ?
A lot of people ask me this question, so I will try to tell you as much as I know about it .
The basic principle on the web, when we talk about making money with a website, is advertising and commisions .
People that have websites or blogs, besides the people that are selling a product or service allready online, think about monetising their website and they come up with this answers :
- Pay per click (PPC) adversiting - like AdSense and Adbrite and so many others
- Affiliate Marketing - Promoting products and services for a commision
- Direct ad spot sale
Offcourse, the people that make money online stay intouch with the latest keyword searches, search engine optimization, onsite optimization an so on .
Having a banner that will make you 3 cents is not really the most important think as TRAFFIC = The number of unique people that visit the website.
Getting people on the website is a real job and anyone that works at building traffic should know the most important things :
- Get indexed by major search engines
- Create UNIQUE content
- Know what keywords are going to be used
- GET BACKLINKS …. A LOT !
- Advertise for more clicks
- Start a Reciprocal Links page
