AdSense versus AdBrite

I have severak sites running adsense ads, and because most of them are NOT in english, google has started paying me with 2 - 4 cents $ per click, and with 400 clicks per day I can't earn that much and I should ! ..... and to think they also excluded the adsense refferal program, because mozilla firefox was a great revenue tool, bringing from 10 to 100 cents per install depending on the country ...

So back to my study : AdSense versus AdBrite

1. You CAN run Adsense and AdBrite ads on the same website.
   
   
2. Adsense does not allow you to run ads from adult websites, casino / poker affiliate ads or online pharmacy / pills websites . AdBrite does .
   
   
3. AdBrite will show porn from time to time, AdSense does not .
   
   
4. AdBrite pays by check, AdSense pays by Western Union and check.
   
   
5. AdBrite has the a great 'live' support service but they suck at email support, AdSense presents a lack in getting in touch with the user, from my experience..., email support with AdSense remainins very ... 'far away'.
   
   
6. Adsense will ban you for having a proxy website, as AdBrite will accommodate with your proxy.
   
   
7. AdSense pays once per month, once you get going, but AdBrite has Net60 a service, paying the publishers every 60 days.
   
   
8. AdBrite has BritPic and you can make money with your pictures .
   
   
9. AdBrite let's you style (css) the ad code ! AdSense does not .
   
   
10. AdBrite PAYS ME better . The ads I run from AdBrite are better for most of my sites that promote non-english content and I make more money !

DoFollow Blog - First Research

DoFollow blogs are blogs that have implemented the DoFollow PlugIn for wordpress.

Blogspot users can do this to eliminate the noFollow from your template :

Blogspot.com --> Layout --> Edit HTML .
Once here, hit Ctrl + F and look for NoFollow .
Just remove the first rel='nofollow' you see .

REMEMBER TO BACK THE TEMPLATE FIRST !

What you can do next is use the Firefox add-on called Search Status .
Install, then right click on the logo and check the Highlight Nofollow Links and you are DONE !
All the nofollow links will be highlighted in pink color . GREAT TOOL :) .

How to get BackLinks from .edu blogs ::

Just go to Google.com, and search this :

site:.edu inurl:blog "post a comment" -"comments closed" -"you must be logged in" "keyword"

.... where keyword stands for the keyword you are looking for, related to the content of your site / blog .

Just enter a comment something like : "Nice post . Keep up the good work."
This is kinda' spammy i know ... but you can also enter a real nice comment, and that will assure you an approval of the comment .

The link is ofcourse the bloggers name / username . I suggested usign a semi-keyword nick . like if you are looking for shoes, use shoesman3 .. or something .

And remember that not all blogs have this option when posting with the Name and URL as comment posting options .

We also need more money, more links, more traffic and more birds :D .

Social Bookmarking - short post

I am still running around the bush with the social bookmarking sites ..

I am on the lookout online for all the semi-blackhat tricks that people use to get some lame blog promoted and with high impact too ...

oh well, we should just focus on these when we submit a bookmark :

1. title and decription have to be very well formated and researched for high impact
2. don't be 'spammy', be smart . create friends over the bookmarking networks and share resources ... kinda' time consuming .... but :) if you have the time, just do it .

Getting BackLinks from Web Directories

First I will teach you a little trick that I use to get backlinks.

Do you know all those web directories that ask for a link back on a page before submitting the link ? Well ... all you need to do is create a page like links.html and put there all the links to the webdirectories that require a link back there .

The trick is that you can put all the links in the world there . you don't have to link it to the index page, so it will only be visible to the webdrectory link checking script .
In case it is checked by a human, it's still ok, as he probably does not know that the page is not linked to the main index page .

Ok so you have the website, you have the web directories list, next, you need to download RoboForm . The best way is to use Mozilla Firefox and install RoboForm as a free plug-in . This will help you a lot ! It can manage multiple information accounts, and it has an auto fill option.

There are free directories, backlink directories and paid directories . So avoid the paid directories and get free links !

So all you need to do is visit every web directory and add your url .

I was wondering around the my webpages and a problem came into my mind . I have a long list of sites on a website, and this links page and I needed to extract the links from the page, fast .
Memo : I did not code something for this yet, and I should …

Anyway, did a very super fast search and came up with this tools :

1. The Link Extractor - a very simple and fast link extractor . Extract links from a web page with this tool .
2. Reciprocal Link Checker - check a list of links for a reciprocal link . it only searches the index page of the sites .

Domain Search by Keyword

When you need to buy a domain name, maybe for a niche, it is very very important to do a keyword search .

Just open up Google Adwords Keyword Tool (just search for page on google.com) and do a search on your basic keywords used on the website . You will also find related keywords, and that is very good .

So here are the links to the domain keyword searchers’ :

1. http://www.namecheap.com/domain-name-search.asp?type=keyword - This is a 3 keyword search engine . also displays all the domains, and tells you if the domain is available or not .
2. http://instantdomainsearch.com/ - an Ajax driven domain search . shows the searched keyword / domain name, almost instantly, on the same page, without reloading it, thanks to AJAX .

This is a very good technique . After your keyword search you will find keyword pairs . you can look for high rated keyword pairs domain names . Just add your url to 300 to 500 free link web directories and you will get on the first page on Google .

This worked for me !!

At this time, when I am posting this, I have a project that is #1 in Google for a specific keyword search .
And I did the same thing, I looked in the search volumes for a specific keyword in the Adwords keyword tool.

The story goes like this . I was interested in Driving Quiz Online, but this was made in romanian language . the keywords used were “chestionare auto” witch means something like auto-quiz, and this combination was the first in the keyword list, searched in adwords keyword tool, with the most searches made in month .
So i made the website and I got it up, I made a little onsite optimization, and I got backlinks to the site, and here it is : www.chestionare-auto.com .

Think about this : how long untill there will be no more good, searched domain names ?!

freelancing - how I do it

Getting a job done is very important, so before you get started, think about getting a job where you get to talk all the details and put it down on paper and work from there .

It is very important that you do not wake up with a problem when the client wants a quick change in the former plan, coming up with something totally different from what you talked about in the first place, not to mention the bigger problem when you have allready made part of the job .. that sucks !

Next, you need to check out the costs. “What costs ?!” you may say … well some freelance websites require one time join fee, or they ask for money per project bid, or percentage of the money you earn .

Search, Find Projects, Plan, Bid
Next you need to search for projects in your field of work. So you do a search and find the jobs that look promissing to you . A very important step, after reading the project’s info, is checking out the client .
Be very carefull who you work for ! Most design companies will only work with experienced freelancers, you should avoid projects posted by wird looking clients.

And also, you should not stick to only one project.

Now, before you bid, you need to plan the project . Think about the time and costs that the project would generate . Allways give yourself more time for work, and also bid a higher price then what you first choose, so that you can bid again later in case someone bids a lower price .

A lot of people ask me this question, so I will try to tell you as much as I know about it .

The basic principle on the web, when we talk about making money with a website, is advertising and commisions .
People that have websites or blogs, besides the people that are selling a product or service allready online, think about monetising their website and they come up with this answers :

1. Pay per click (PPC) adversiting - like AdSense and Adbrite and so many others
2. Affiliate Marketing - Promoting products and services for a commision
3. Direct ad spot sale

Offcourse, the people that make money online stay intouch with the latest keyword searches, search engine optimization, onsite optimization an so on .

Having a banner that will make you 3 cents is not really the most important think as TRAFFIC = The number of unique people that visit the website.
Getting people on the website is a real job and anyone that works at building traffic should know the most important things :

1. Get indexed by major search engines
2. Create UNIQUE content
3. Know what keywords are going to be used
4. GET BACKLINKS …. A LOT !
5. Advertise for more clicks
